What Does Conscious Capitalism Mean?

The long-term trend for businesses has been to prioritize profits over people. Corporations and businesses place importance to profits above all else. Even in the precarious economic times of COVID-19, we have seen that the CEOs' earnings kept going up. At the same time, US food banks are serving more and more people, thus signifying the substantial gaps between CEO compensation rise and worker compensation increase.

The need is to prioritize people over profit and ensure that the top leadership is doing business the right way. Even senior leaders in businesses corroborate the fact that those corporations that focus solely on profit and let their employees to suffer will cease to exist in as few as ten years from now.

This is the underlying principle of conscious capitalism. It marks the growing awareness among businessmen to choose people over profit so that businesses operate ethically while they pursue profits.
